I have a Speed 4 that I use almost exclusively for track days (B group). It's a fantastic track bike and you don't have to worry about replacing all the expensive plastic if something goes wrong. Either bike is fine for 99% of riders, but don't shy away from the S4 just because it doesn't have a fairing.
