We need to remember that a good percentage of the reason to race is to develop/test & innovate... sure it sells units, but it also makes a better product for us all, so if all they garner form the experience is experience, then they will have won.
I think the 675 has proven it can run with the pack in few private efforts, so they should be able to make a show with a factory team and an established racing team.
They also come into the scene as a Gaanormous underdog, giving them an advantage of coming from behind. It will also get them more attention as the underdog/newcomer... Triumph sells bikes without racing. Even if they don't do great, will they sell LESS bikes?
