Anyone that lives in the countryside will know that this claim is very true, why it took a university to come to this conclusion will be because they managed to get a grant to do it.
In my local village there are two physiotherapists that specialise in 'horse riding injuries'. My daughter-in-law who breeds them on the next farm still has a bad limp from a horse fall from a year ago, which was startled by a pheasant on one of my roadways. One broken arm, one broken leg, one broken and separated ankle.
.....and if you think you are addicted to RatNet or motorbikes, then it will be nothing compared to females that have horses as a hobby, or should I say life. Anyone deliberately go out in thunder and lightening, rain lashing down with gale winds ? No, didn't think so but horsewomen do, day or night 24/7.
