Nah, I don't think the Brits are miffed at all any more. As one MP said in an interview on the Discover Chanel (I forget his name and I'm paraphrasing): "Underneath it all, we Brits love Americans because deep down inside, we feel we created you. You're our progeny and we take a sneaking pride in each of your accomplishments."
Kind of like the first time your son beats you at basketball one-on-one. Besides, only in the last 25 years have American Microbrewers begun to brew proper English style ales. Although there are plenty of wankers over there drinking Budweiser now.
