DALERF, Do you have near zero kms now and asking about a 3K km break-in or is 3K already showing? Break-in here lasts 1K miles which is about 1600 km so our procedures may not be the same.
I can only comment on the '04 here, but Triumph seems to still 'wear fit' items and even my chain benefitted judging by the even stretch. There were times when I went above the RPM range max, but not under load and not by too much. IMHO, the transmission is the main befactor as mine was notchy at first and by 2K miles came around was pretty smooth.
