I bought a Corbin for my CBR and I couldn't stand it -- it was so high up front that every time I accelerated I slid back down the seat; I sent it back and they shaved down the front but it still didn't feel even close to right (plus the seat base didn't fit the bike very well). I've done about 25,000 miles on the stock seat and all of about 200 miles on the Corbin. If I had a choice again, I definitely would have saved the $300.
With the Thruxton, I thought my stock seat was breaking down at about 10,000 miles and replaced it with the Triumph gel seat. It feels about the same as the stock seeat, especially the shape, but is maybe a little firmer. It seems good enough for any ride (up to about 500 miles in a day) as long as I'm wearing leather or something good like a Roadcrafter (but certainly not in jeans). I'm not sure I would go with the Corbin for the Thrux.
