Brad, he's in Perth, Western Australia so I think he's referring to Kilometers (k's).

Mate, take it easy for around 1000km, change the oil at 200km and then have the 1000km service done by your dealer. Have the throttle slop adjusted because they're always sloppy.

After 1000Km, ride it like it's run in but don't flog it until after around 3000Km.

During running in, don't labour it. Let it rev freely but don't lug it.

If possible, find some hilly roads and ride it through the gears accelerating and moderating your rev range. Above all, have fun...
