yeah when I first got my scrambler, I did almost the same thing in the garage; tried to use the front brake at a low speed when I was turning, and the front wheel rolled over an extension cord at the same time. triple whammy! before I knew what was going on, the handlebars went all the way to the steering stop and down I went. busted the shift lever pin; my wife was pissed! She said something like "you've only had it for a week and already you have to put money into it!" 'course it was only $20 to get the new pin and to get the old bolt extracted, but you know...
anyway, if you're used to something with drum front brakes, switching to disc can be a wakeup call under certain circumstances. word to the wise (and the less so).
