you dont stalk the bike you stalk the person that owns the bike. run the plate or vin and you get info on owner OR where the bike is registered to. if you want to 'pay back' the owner a favor or if you are a 'reposessser' of paid off bikes you now have all the info you need.

when I bought my'59 many many years ago I wrote to the IL Sec of State paid the fee and was given copies of all titles bac to '65 when it came in from California. I talked to one of the former owners he confirmed it WAS blue(pearl grey) and orange(tangerine) before he chopped it (what a butt whole). Contacted Calif DMV paid their fee twice and got nowhere. I do know the last Calif owners name was john (or johnny ) allen (no NOT the same one) of I believe Palo Alto(I am working from memory here)
did the same trace on my '78 T140V even got a copy of the manufacturers certificate of origin for this bike.
tried to trace my '70 and hit a blank wall with the state. but by pure luck I stopped by a
good friends (former Triumph dealer) shop on the day he got a new used bike in (another 70 T120R with bout 600miles on it this was in maybe 1992). we looked at the engine vin number for the fIrst time and we saw T120RT. he wondered if it was the RT he sold. they pulled the records on that bike and guess what mine was the bike they sold. HE GAVE ME ALL the original papers on my bike.

Sometimes you win sometimes you lose

for the 67 try contacting the State of Michigan your request is not all that unusual. Trust me if you had a car or bike that was involved in a accident, left by the side of the road without plates the state would be able to tell who the last registered owner was

jus my pinion
