Sounds like you'll have this licked soon, mr_ badda_bing. It'd be interesting to see your next dyno run to see how much difference some fettling did to the figures without changing any of the actual components.

+1 here. I've been looking at the airbox elim kits and they look very nicely made but they're crazy money in the UK - something anyone with some sheet aluminium and basic tools should be able to make over the winter - good enough to do the job anyway. I'd go for some basic brackets to replace the existing ones for various electrical bits, but a full replacement box with enough room for tools and a set of waterproof leggings sounds ideal. It's also be a great place for putting a DIY power outlet because small stuff that's being charged off it would fit in the box alongside it.
