length plays into it too, those 2-2 high pipes are short compared to a snaky-curvy 2-1 with a good collector. I'd like to see a 2-1-2 where it crosses over inside where the airbox used to be and back out each side, or under the tail!
I like rod's 2-1 that he's currently sporting.
