I have tried to put the spiggot on first. Makes no difference. There is a eigth inch gap between the spiggot and the rubber manifold. also when I tighten the clamp to secure the carb, it slips the carb off after a slight turn.
I am taking the spiggots to a machine shop to turn them to remove an eigth inch of thread off of it.
