I mean you are going to throw away, or not use, the stock break light anyways....so might as well cut the plug off of it. Splice it into the NEW brake late instead of it's plug and reattach it with some high quality connectors or quick solder and shrink wrap it....takes all of 5 minutes with a $10 solder gun and 14 cents in shrink wrap and you'll have it for the next time...and there will be a next time.
