Question Thrux/Bonne left switch housing removal ?

My bike fell over in the garage (and why wouldn't it, it had nearly 1,000 miles on it) and the turn signal switch on the left clip-on broke, so I purchased a new one. I'm installing the new one now.

The switch has two plugs--the big one that plugs into the wiring harness in the headlight housing and a smaller one that plugs into the lever housing. My question: Do you remember how to get the existing smaller one out of the lever housing? Is there a little "button" I need to push somewhere? Do I just yank it? Just don't want to break anything, and I've pulled pretty hard to no avail.

Thanks!
