I also wore a Sy-Max for seven years no less. I really wanted to get another modular, in fact had bought a Caberg but it just wasn't a good fit for me. Had the internal darker shield and very nice.
But I just recently bought a Scorpion EXO 700. If you think you could do without a modular I would highly reccomend this helmet.
