I can't positively say that you can't move the shift lever to the left side, but the cost would have to outweigh the benefit. I think that Triumph actually ran a connecting rod through the transmission when they went to left side shifting. This means that you would have to get new covers for the primary and gearbox, plus some internal parts. I can't imagine that could be done cheaply or easily. Probably best to just shift with the right toe.
