Hi-soon to be new Street triple owner.
Hi All,
signed on the dotted about 2 weeks ago now. Black ST, screen, fairing, hugger and Gel seat.
No test ride needed, just sat on it and thought it fitted like a glove. Dead light, looked nice and great price. What more can you ask. All ready know that triumph wouldn't dare produce another dodo such as the previous incarnation and everyone i know raves about the Daytona 675.
Im not new to Triumph as I owned the 955i Speed triple in Roulette green back in 2001. Never really got on with that bike TBH, big heavy thing, no steering lock and hard suspension. I had it modified by Maxton which helped, but it was still slow to turn which made tight backroads a bit of an effort. Never gave me any problems except for indicator lenses falling off.
I am trading in my KTM 950SM that I have had for two years now. I fancy a change, want a lighter bike, lower seat height (even the Speed triple had me on tip toes so you can imagine the fun that the SM is), something fun, easy to ride but with a bit of a kick when the mood takes and looks nice. Could have had anything as price is not really an issue (unless it goes over 10K), the ST looks like it will do the trick. Looking forward to delivery in October and will probably end up with the Arrow underseat cans.
Previous bikes.....from my bike re-birth (had several previously), VFR800, BMW GS1100, Triumph 955i Speed Triple, Fazer 1000 and KTM 950SM.
