Nobody mentioned the starter sprag clutch?
I know it was supposed to be a problem with the older bikes, but my 04 Speed Triple knackered its sprag clutch recently.
It's easy enough to replace but my local Triumph dealer wanted £271+VAT for a replacement (that's US$650

to our colonial cousins). They had none in stock either, 2-3 days to order. Fortunately
Triumph-ant had the parts I needed for £100+VAT (US$240) , delivered the next day. The guy I spoke to on the phone said that they had supplied 8 sprag clutches for the later model 955i in the past 3 months, so it would seem to be a significant problem.
