The real fix for this is to install a proper crankcase breather. Other bikes (Like my old TL1000S) had a breather system like the Triumph's, and oil would blow up into the airbox. What you'd do is re-route the crankcase breather to another collector with a return hose to the head. It required bunging a hole into the valve cover and then fitting an elbow connector, but it worked a treat and some of them looked pretty cool to boot.
