Thanks for the good words. The seat is actually not so comfortable yet in terms of cushioned feel (the seat surface is very firm), but I'm expecting it to break in over time. But the way for me that it really makes a big difference in terms of comfort is the riding position. Before, with the stock scrambler gel seat, I was more or less upright, so I had to arch my back a little, lean forward and reach for the handlebars, which would always result in minor aches in my butt, back, arms, wrists and hands. This seat moves me forward slightly so that my legs line up perfectly with the tank pads and the exhaust oval shaped heat shield, and inclines me forward slightly, so that my back is straight and the handlebars are exactly where they should be, without me having to reach or lean forward at all. Also my wife in the past had said my helmet was always blocking her view (her helmet would often tap against mine when I braked hard, that doesn't happen anymore), and that the pipes were really hot. With this seat, she says she's raised up a little bit and can see over and around my shoulders really easily and the seat since it's contoured into 2 seperate seats in one pushes her legs out a little (from the rounded part of the back of my seat) so her leg doesn't get close to the exhaust guard (which works just as well or better than the stock exhaust guard). Also, since the seat inclines her forward a little she feels comfortable enough that she said it's OK to lose the backrest, which I previously used, but I really thought it detracted from the lines of the bike, so I was happy to delete that. We're gonna head out for a one week trip to the Finger Lakes on this Scrambler later this year, so I'm really looking forward to touring on this machine and using the luggage rack for that.

Here's a couple more photo's of my Scrambler:

And for all the scooter fans out there, here's a shot of my all original '68 Lambretta SX 200:
