A sound point. I'd guess proper marketing of off-road (and off-road-ish) bikes takes a different kind of investment than adding another bike to a street lineup. You want to go sponsor things, have some scrambles and so on--all the sorts of things that KTM, BMW and the Japanese have yards of experience with. Without such activities to raise the profile, an entrant in off-road, whatever the size, will be doomed to niche folks (like us) who follow such things. Sales obscurity.
