Hey MES - we all have off days. I wouldn't go beating yourself up about it on my account.
To be honest, I was also pretty downhearted about the dead links when I first noticed them. It just happened at a time when I was so busy with work, but feeling like I was getting nowhere with it, that all I wanted to do was stand on a table and scream! Fortunately, I think I'm coming through the other side of that now and I'm able to look at things with a little more optimism. Being able to sort the Mod links out as quickly as I did was fairly theraputic in that sense. Sure, there are a few links still down here and there, but overall the page is fixed.
I hope your bananna plants are okay - I used to work with them a lot - do you ever find bird-eating spiders under the base of the leaves? I did one day - blasted thing fell on me and I freaked out completely, chopping it into tiny pieces with my machete (I didn't feel like a very good Budhist that day).
Anyway, the sun is up and so far (for about the first day since the end of April) it isn't raining.
