hi guys, this is just a part two of my previous topic since the title was a little unclear. maybe it will help with topic traffic.

i did make a little progress on the problem. i found that the run/stop switch will indeed kill the motor when moved to the off position, but the starter will continue to turn until the key is moved to off. move the run/stop switch to run and it fires up, but the starter still turns).

i checked and blew out almost every electrical plug and found no water. took the handlebar switch housings apart and found no water. checked the fuses, all fine. checked the harness/plugs in the headlight shell, dry as a bone.

i am completely stumped, unless the bot of water that got on the solenoid has caused the problem.
