Disconnect the defective grip from the heated grips harness and once disconnected turn on the heated grips to check that you have voltage at the wiring harness/ final connector. No voltage would indicate a wiring problem. If you have voltage, then using a low resistance ohm meter check for a resistance across the grips connecter to verify the heating coil is in tact. A zero ohm value would indicate it has failed and needs replacement.
