Check your hotels for bike parking!
I went to a bachelor party recently and we were all meeting up at a hotel in downtown Los Angeles. I followed the groom and best man to the hotel and once i got there found out they don't let bikes park there. Not even guests!
I ended up having to park my bike in a lot 5 blocks away where the attendant was very adamant that no one was going to be there to watch it after 7pm. :???:
So, be sure that the hotel you make reservations at has bike parking. Especially at higher end, metropolitan hotels with only valet parking.
I may end up swinging back by the hotel, and a few others, the next time i'm downtown. The valets were looking at me like i was from another planet. They really had no idea what to do with me. It was kinda funny.
Maybe if i hit all the downtown hotels every month or so, they'll think there's a need for bike parking and do something about it.
