SOUNDS like I might WANT the correct bolts. I know that the ones on my rack will hit the fender if I use them without the rack and sissy bar. Since it appears that the headlight "short" bolts are also shouldered, I don't see how they can snug-up the bracket AND be too long. I went ahead and ordered the stock bolts for the headlight bracket. I have some shorter ones for the rack.
Mick- you ARE right- I jumped to MY conclusion with some of the offered evidence and my experience. ANYWAY- from this and other posts (search) it sounds like people like the solo seat and cowl...I ordered them yesterday!
