OK, heres a dumb question but Ill ask it anyway, Surely adding a shim, lifting the needle, is like making the mixture richer?

Why dont you just adjust the mixture at the carb? or am I missing the obvious.

Anyway, with these TOR exhausts, the short ones, if I add a UNI filter OR K&N filter and hack the airbox about to get more air in how the hell do you know what to do next?

Shimming the needle, is that the same as NOT shimming the needle but adding a BIGGER jet?

Im a little confused here.... shimming and jetting or one or the other.. me head hurts.
