I've had a TBS since April 2000. My first TBS, a red 99 was wrecked 6 years ago on Cambie and 7th in Vancouver BC.
My second TBS is a white and orange 2000. I LOVE these bikes!!! I've yet to ride a bike that is such a good all arounder. I can ride with sportbike guys and not be too embarrassed, I can do 600+ miles a day in complete comfort, it handles very well, has all the suspension adjustments I could ever use, looks great sounds great and fits in at ***** near any bike event I've ever gone too (not that that is a concern for me, just an observation.)
I've made a few mods to it inclusding a Scotoiler, "off-raod" Triumph mufflers, K&N filter (purely for economic reason-cheaper than an OEM replacement) bar end mirrors and I've added a second horn.
This bike makes gobs of torque and power at almost anywhere in the rev range. It runs 8.5 on the 1/8 mile. It'll cruise at 160 kph all day with breaking a sweat. The only gripe is I wish I had better fule econmy or a bigger tank AND the bike can be a little top heavy. I am a hard person please and this bike has been with gfor a long time.
