You are almost perfectly placed in the US to check out AeroStich Roadcrafter suits. I have one with a heated vest for winter riding (here, not there) and there is an accessory power socket available from Triumph to run it.
These suits are either one piece or two piece, have all kinds of body armour, are waterproof, comfortable and you can layer your clothing underneath for all year round riding.
Well, all year except where you are... Where you are in the Winter, the government should declare an emergency and evacuate you all to Florida with a free ticket home for the summer....
