thanks for the replys and suggestions.I went and changed the oil,replacing the mobil 1 with amsoil 20/50.Now it shifts much better and quieter although sometimes noisy into first.Not at all clunky as before and 100 % better.I will continue to check level consistenly as I now know the level and product.90 miles and it seems fine..perhaps dealer did not fill at last change...quanity of oil not listed on work order.Thanks again and I will repost if problem resurfaces!
