Hi deano- that was the question I was going to ask!
I had the same difficulty & for the same reason. When I ride in traffic, which is where this problem occurs most, I've always got two fingers resting on the brake lever. I found that by rotating my hand to open the throttle, whilst keeping the two fingers very lightly pressing downwards on the brake lever, that I had much more sensitive control at small throttle openeings. I hope that made sense; it was more difficult to explain than I thought it would be! That was back in Feb when the bike was new- I don't even think about it any more.

My gearbox was awful when the bike was new. It was mega clunky. The knowledgeable folks on this forum advised me that these bikes need lots of running in. Now, at 5,000km (3,000mi), the gearbox is now just about OK (i.e. hugely improved) and still getting better.

Welcome to the forum. Lots & lots of clever people here (I'm not one of them but I experienced both of these problems ), so I hope this helps.
