I use irdium spark plugs. I don't notice the promised improvement in performance but starting is better. I have only just put them in the 'Tona but I have had one for ages in my Suzie DRZ and it fires up first time every time with very little cranking.
(It is probably all wishfull thinking on my part to justify the extra cost. )
As for the airbox a little smear of wd40 on the "rubbers" helps them slide in a treat. :wink:
(It shouldn't rot them because they are supposed to be designed to survive in a petrol and oil atmosphere anyway.)
