That is a nice color and I like the "wing" too. It looks pretty close to what I have, and you can tell it was a cloudy day when they took that shot.
The flange seam on the tank did not recieve any special treatment, we just made sure the white covered the outer part that you can see, and inside it's purple. I think this paint scheme just sort of works to take the eye away from that or makes it disappear.
