Thanks for your response revhead. If I read your post correctly, you are commenting on the Jardines vs. stock.
Is there anyone out there that has experience with both the TOR with cat bypass and Jardine systems and can make an all around comparison over stock and between the two? I have heard TOR's in person but never ridden, and I have never seen or heard Jardines in person. I'm trying to get some info to help decide which system I want to buy. It would be great if I could try them out, but you just don't see many RIII's around in any configuration (which is one of the things I like about it).

Just standing around revving I thought the Jardines were maybe a bit louder than my TOR's/cat bypass. The sound is different. The Jardines are deeper and more resonant. The TOR's sound raunchier. Even though the Jardines may be louder, they sound more muffled (that may not make sense but that's the way it is).
My mechanic says I would get a few more HP from Jardines and he's put quite a few sets on, probably more with Unifilters and a PCIII tune.
Unfortunately, I don't like the way the Jardines look. I can't deal with 2 mufflers. The triple pipes is one of the unique things about the Rocket. Even though the Triumh header may be less efficient, I like the way it looks.
You're not going to take a Busa in the 1/4 in any case unless you do a lot more than Jardines.
