look at this way, 350 dollars for a seat and how much did you pay for your bike? Yes seats are expensive, but compared to the whole cost of the bike...... A good seat will let you enjoy that very expensive bike a whole lot longer.. Welting? stick with black, it's classic, doesn't draw to much attention away from the bike and if you decide to sell it, it has a whole lot more byers, then just the color of your bike.
