Started modding my new tank today.Already removed the knee pads and stripped off the color coats, and started cutting off the seam around the bottom of the tank and rewelding it. Have some smoothing to do,but its gas tight. I`m going to coat the inside just for added protection and seal in any metal flakes caused by the welds. Now need to decide on a new filler tube or just leave it alone. I`m leaning toward a flush mount,pop-up style filler. Input?
