Removing the fender is a piece o' cake.. simply remove the seat, unplug the connector for the rear turn signals and tail light, and remove the 4 black torx head bolts.

Do n'y let the fender hang free while removing the bolts or it's headed for the ground (guaranteed to scratch the paint). Simpy loosen the bolts, then hold the fender with one hand as you remove the bolts with the other.

In order to totally remove the fender for riding, you'll have to either purchase one of the available kits, or fab something yourself - you gotta have rear tail light and rear turn signals.

Installing NB's rear fender elim kit is a snap. Everything is made to bolt up - but it is quite expensive.
