I gotta start with the obvious

I know a highly sophisticated device that tracks satellites for navigation seems to fly in the face of all the makes the Bonnie the modern incarnation of motorcycling at it's finest

the purity and simplicity of an aircooled twin and little more between you and the road than a internally combusted wing

I know it is wrong

to add electrical doo dads to this is simply wrong

and I really don't care
I have had GPS on other bikes and I simply want it back

but I want to do it as discreetly as possible.

I don't want to use it in a tank bag because I don't want to use it in a tank bag

I want to find a way top preserve as much of this as possible

looking at the road roll under you with this view is a medium rare ribeye steak from Sullivan's, a smile from a pretty blond, a premium cigar lit from a stick pulled from a campfire, good bourbon poured neat into a heavy bottomed glass, this view is just one of the finer things in life

so how can an idiot like me find his way home without screwing this view

I am thinking some kind of ram mount and saving for a Zumo as it looks about the least like a gadget of all the GPS unit's out there

I am trying o avoid mounting anything to the bars, maybe a setm mount or something

is anyone else running a GPS and if so how are you mounting that bad dog

I don't want to run audio through it, no MP3's set up (I use an Ipod and ear phones if I want to ride with Jimi)

I am looking for an easy off so if I am just taking a Sunday ride I let myself be talked into believing I really am Steve McQueen and all I need is a fast machine

(and you know, maybe directions home sometimes)
