The oil in new Triumps is a running in oil. The manual states that the oil should be changed at 500 miles to Mobil 1 15/50, Triumph badged synthetic oil. I use Red Line 15/50. There are a lot of opinions about which oil to use, but a good synthetic of the correct weight without friction modifiers is a good place to start.
