It's a lot of work (and money) but the 955i pistons and liners can be fitted. That job involves machining out the cases.
There is a lot more power to be had with cam and jetting mods. The classics are a detuned version of an engine which made about 98bhp. The biggest difference is the cams, and all the cams are interchangeable.
