It seems I'm in the minority with these. I love to take lots of photos as I'm refurbishing, overhauling and restoring bikes, and post updates on a regular basis.

I'd sure like to see more of ya'll doing this, and I'm going to suggest to Shawn that he create a new section here just for project journals.

If you go ahead and start one, fill us in on what you are doing, any problems you run into and how you solved them; good (and bad) reseller tips as far as your parts sources & professional tradesmen (painter, upholstery, chrome, etc.).

I even keep a record of shop hours, broken down in 1/4 hour increments, so that I can better estimate future projects. Believe me, I don't claim to be in the upper echelon of rebuilders, but it's nice to have an answer when someone asks "how long does it take to change a set of clutch plates?"

Bottom line: I think it would be an enhancement to this forum if more of you would open up and join the discussion. Don't be shy if you are just a beginner, WE WERE ALL BEGINNERS at one point, and all of us make mistakes along the way. I assure you, you won't be criticized on this forum unless you convert an original '59 Bonneville to a beach bobber.
