Hello all!

I bought my '07 Tornado red Thruxton about one month ago, after going to the dealer to look for a orange cream Bonnie that I had seen there.

Talk about first impressions!

The wallet is a little lighter, my wrists are a litle bit more sore and the bike causes neck injuries to those who double take a look at it...life is good!

To add some personal info here:

I have spent the last eight years working at the local Harley dealership and riding pigs...er...hogs, so I took care of THAT part of one of my childhood dreams. Now I am spinning wrenches for our local military base and I am on a Triumph. That helps complete my childhood fantasies about riding motorcycles...Harleys and Triumphs were the only acceptable rides when I was a lad...dreams DO come true!

My previous bikes were (in order):
1984 Honda CE-400 that I spruced up with the cafe treatment.
1999 Suzuki Bandit
2000 Harley Sportster 883 that I tried to Cafe.
2001 Harley Softail Standard
2001 Buell X1 Lightning
2005 Harley FLHTI
2007 Triumph Thruxton

Yeah...I have had the run of the mill between cruiser and cafe...I just cannot seem to get over the point where I want to sit high and hunched and whisper taunts to corners. I am all too happy to carve the road on tall naked bikes that evoke my earliest memories and dreams. I'll plug along on a cruiser when I am an old man...say 70 years old...that gives me over thirty years of wicked pleasure on real bikes to experience in my future!

So, here I am again causing havoc with my old Harley crowd, breaking away from that herd and making most of them shake their beards in wonder while twisting the necks of the new hooligan sportbike crowd as I sweep in among them to show them that old does not mean slow or stupid.

Yup...I am very much alive and in love with being on this new ride.

See ya 'round the corner, take care!
