OK so I bought the TBird on Saturday. Changed the oil, flushed the cooling system, rode 50 miles and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Now the serious work begins, here are my questions.

If I don't turn off the petcock overnight, there will be a puddle of gas under th bike. Assuming I have to rebuild the carbs, or a least the leftmost one.

Also the rubber pieces from the carb to the engine are cracked. I have read hear that I should switch them out for the later, less restrictive ones. Is this correct? If I do switch them out and everything else is stock do I need to rejet?

Next question is, if I don't get good pricing or service from my local Triumph dealer, where is a good place to buy the carb rebuild kit and rubber pieces online?

Also I like the look of the fork boots. Where can I buy a pair?

I am sure I will have many more questions. Thanks in advance for your help.
