I am looking into purchasing a Thruxton as a second bike (for the wife and...ahem...me )and want to know what I'm getting into. Friend has an '06 with 4000 miles and it leaks oil near the sight glass ( It really IS English!), but otherwise he loves it. I like the twin note and vintage look a lot, the narrowness and it seemed very nimble in the twisties.

There seems to be an awful lot of posts regarding mechanical issues here, please don't be offended, but this is compared to the sport forum where the hot topics are regarding wheelies, fender eliminator kits, and low mount exhausts.

Any reason to hesitate on pulling the trigger?
