Hello, I am new here. I did a search but didn't see what I was looking for.
I have a 1998 Trident 900 and I love it. The only problem I have had is the rear brakes wearing approximately every 5000 miles. I have rebuilt the caliper, replaced all the fluid and tried various brands of pads, EBC, Ferrodo, etc. I have replaced the rotor three times.
I was wondering if anyone has completely replaced the rear caliper with an aftermarket one and if so what brand?
My local Triumph dealer has told me that they have never heard of any problems with the rear brakes so I have just been replacing pads all the time. The front pads/calipers work fine. I have 21,000 on the bike and the fronts still have pad life left.
Thanks for any help.
Gary
