So what does this tell me, I don't know, I know nothing about these bikes, but from my experience of One, Triumph made excellent bikes back in the day. Maybe I got lucky and when my bike was made everyone at Meridan was in a good mood, but I followed the workshop manual to the letter and no problems so far.
I may be singing a different tune when and if she blows up one day :-D

yes, they must have been happy then, of my three triumphs and 70k + miles going to from teh base to home att the weekends I got delayed twice... once a puncture, and once valve stuck both on my first bike ( a cub) in its first few weeks of ownership,
