If the connectors haven't been replaced and are stock they are all plastic. The aluminum parts are fixes for the plastic ones that tend to break and not all people have made the switch. I recommend switching them if you plan on wrenching yourself from now on. There is some drainage if you haven't emptied the tank as per the instructions in the service manual.
