All of the FI engines 97 + are bolt-in to the various year frames (Sprints, S3's & Daytonas); depending on what year engine into which year chassis will depend on what other pieces you need to accompany just the motor. Even the S3 1050's bolt in mechanically.
For the 02+ you have an O2 sensor plus a different Air Idle Control so ideally need the headers & airbox to go with it.
In my case I swapped the complete wiring harness, ECM, Regulator, Airbox, Headers & exhaust & instuments - that was going from a 98 T509 to an O2 Daytona so quite a bit different regarding those pieces identified
There is a thread in the Modifications & Workshop Forum where ckassen has put a late model Daytona engine into his 00 Sprint (RS).
With the improved engine from the 02+, I think its worth trying to accommodate one of those if you're going to make the change at all.
