No way I'd pay 600 for a tach. A member on here (D9) made a really cool bracket for smaller after market gauges, both tach and speedo. If he'll make you a bracket you can get the gauges and bracket for under 100 bucks. I'd go that route. Try doing a search along the lines of smaller gauge bracket.
If you haven't seen the thread further down called "Dual tacho bracket for Bonneville Black" you can see D9's work.
