Tried doing this on my own, but find the need to consult the "Oracle"....
Bought my first bike this fall, a 2000 Legend, and absolutely love it, although I have been torturing myself over this exhaust issue for months now. I have made my guy start his Bonnie up before me so as not to be embarrassed by my "sewing machine". I know she has so much more potential!
Spent the weekend trying to fit the aftermarket Helix Mufflers:

Needless to say, the clamps don't fit and repacking looks crazy. We ended up taking the insides of a Dunstall replica and fitting it to the Helix with a bit of sawing and repacking. Sounds O.K. Looks O.K. Not real jazzed though.

Now, just for kicks we temp fitted a D&D to it... Holy *****,
sounds Beasty!! (as you all knew it would) Although I'm not sure I wouldn't be run out of the neighborhood or arrested by the end of the first week. What also came of it is the realization that I really like the upswept pipe look on my Legend.

This brings me to the following questions:

1. I read a thread about some type of additional baffle to make the D&Ds a bit more acceptable to the general public. Can I get more info on this? Any pics on a Legend/T-Bird?

2. Also Strongly considering the Predators, really like the look - Are they a bit longer (24"?) and smaller in circumference than the stock (17")? Are they repackable? The manufacturer told me it was a mechanical baffle that would never require repacking? Any pics? Any audio of the Predators? Additional adjustments to my Legend?

Thanks, O' Great Ones!
